This 5-story hotel contains 93 suites, meeting facilities, kitchen and dining facilities, an exercise area, and an indoor pool.
Located adjacent to UMW's Eagle Village mixed-use complex on Jefferson Davis Highway (also constructed by Independence Construction), the facility is used for both short- and long-term stays servicing both the University of Mary Washington and Mary Washington Hospital.
The hotel is constructed of structural steel, structural studs, and precast plank. The exterior is primarily brick masonry with punch windows and some EIFS to create a Jeffersonian appearance and blend with the rest of the Eagle Village complex.
While not required to achieve LEED certification, the project utilized aspects of the Hyatt Place Green Initiative in the heating and cooling system.
