Summary Back to Top

This project consisted of selective demolition and mechanical and electrical infrastructure upgrades to prepare the existing 4-story facility for a landlord/tenant set-up to house Ohio University’s Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (HCOM).

Featuring a new lobby with a grand staircase and skylight, the HCOM houses:

  • New state-of-the-art classrooms
  • Study rooms
  • Conference rooms
  • A library
  • Staff offices
  • Learning labs
  • A 3,100 SF anatomy lab with a walk-in cooler
  • A new fitness center and locker rooms

In addition, existing exam rooms were upgraded to become simulation and teaching rooms, providing opportunities for hands-on experience to medical students.
